SeaWorld Orlando
This is definitely an absolutely must-see when visiting Orlando. It is regarded as the world's best and most
popular sea life park, and makes for a wonderful and unforgettable family day out. It covers an impressive
200-acre area and provides a full day's itinerary of shows and marine encounters in the best theme park
tradition. The arenas are constantly jam-packed with people marveling at the displays of the performers,
which are mostly of the finned or flippered variety. A huge advantage of this particular park, particularly
with regard to families with young children, is the distinct lack of queues. The most popular shows, and
generally the highlight of SeaWorld, tend to be Shamu performances in the Whale & Dolphin Stadium, and
the Sea Lion & Otter Stadium. The Penguin Encounter, which boasts real snow, is another must-see. As
SeaWorld tends to have a significant role in animal rescue, conservation and research, it offers several
entertaining and educational tours for interested parties. For an even more interactive experience you can
now swim with bottlenose dolphins and tropical fish at Discovery Cove, SeaWorld's new sister park.
SeaWorld is located at 7007 SeaWorld Drive, Orlando, and opens daily from 9am-7pm. It must be noted
that the entrance fee is quite expensive, but is well worth budgeting for. You must make reservations for
Discovery Cove.
